'It Is Well with My Soul' is a very inspirational and powerful Christian Song that has brought peace to many in the midst of their most severe storms of life. The words to this song were penned by Horatio Spafford (a Chicago lawyer) in 1873, the music composed by Philip P. Bliss in 1876, and was first sung in public by Philip Bliss on November 24 of that same year before an assembly of ministers hosted by Dwight L. Moody in Chicago.
